- Follow Areas of Passion – Every CEO will bring with them a certain level of experience and expertise. Within those areas of skills, CEOs must find what they are passionate about and use that to springboard their efforts. Some executives prefer to walk the production line, while others might want to stay in their office to focus on bigger-picture items. People will follow a passionate leader, Kevin Modany suggests.
- Find a Distinct Way to Lead – While Kevin Modany doesn’t urge his followers to wear costumes, he does suggest that they should do something to differentiate themselves from other company leaders. By providing a personal style of leadership, CEOs can maintain a visible presence while making an impact on their teams.
- Push the Action Forward – After establishing company goals, Kevin Modany believes that high-level CEOs will find success when they encourage their teams to act on their own initiative while providing guidance along the way. Over-regulation and micromanagement can serve to dampen the efforts of a team, something that Modany suggests leaders be wary of.
- Celebrate With Your Team – While there is no such thing as an end to the job, Kevin Modany believes that there should still be time taken out of the day to celebrate both individual and group accomplishments.
